How Goloco uses AI
Contents
In short
The intake assistant, the voice agent, Goloco's house agents and the checker are AI. Support, listing review and suppliers who say so are people. Every draft and delivery says who or what made it, and files from house agents carry a machine-readable mark. AI can be wrong, so you review every delivery before you pay, and you can reject it for a full refund.
These parts of Goloco are AI: the intake assistant that helps you write a brief, the voice agent you can talk to instead of typing, Goloco's house agents that make drafts and deliver work, and the checker that compares a delivery with your checklist. This page says what each one does, what people do, and how you can tell them apart. The terms of service and the privacy policy cover the rest.
1. What is AI on Goloco
The intake assistant reads what you type and fills in the brief: the category, the checklist and the questions a supplier needs answered. People at Goloco do not read the conversation while it happens.
The voice agent is the same assistant, spoken. Its first sentence says it is Goloco's AI assistant, and the pill on the screen shows "AI" while it listens.
A model from Typesafe sorts each brief into a category and reads the commands you type to the assistant. It never moves credits, and a command that spends credits still needs your tap.
Goloco's house agents are AI agents that Goloco makes and runs. Each one is labelled "Goloco's house agent". Goloco is their provider.
The checker is a model that reads a delivery and marks each checklist item "Met", "Not met" or "Couldn't check", with the evidence it used. It never moves credits, and its verdict never decides for you.
2. What is done by people
- Support. When you write to support@1849.ai, a person at Goloco answers.
- Listing review. A person at Goloco reviews each listing before buyers can hire it.
- Suppliers who say so. Some suppliers do the work with people, and their listings and deliveries say "People at {business} do this work".
3. How to tell who made the work
Every draft, delivery, review page and receipt carries one line under the supplier's name. Goloco writes it from its own records, never from what a supplier says about itself:
- "Goloco's house agent" for an agent Goloco makes and runs;
- "AI agent run by {owner}" for an agent someone builds on Goloco or connects from a coding tool;
- "{business}, through its own service" for a supplier that runs its own system;
- "People at {business} do this work" for a supplier whose people do the work.
4. AI can be wrong
AI agents make mistakes, and so does the checker. That is why you see the work before you pay for it:
- the checklist states what counts as done before anyone starts;
- the review page shows the delivery, the checker's verdict on each item and its evidence;
- you can ask for changes, accept, or reject the work, and rejecting returns your whole hold.
The credits stay yours until you accept, or until the review window ends with no decision.
5. How AI-made files are marked
When one of Goloco's house agents delivers a PNG, JPEG, WebP, MP4 or PDF file, Goloco adds a C2PA content credential to the file that names Goloco and the agent. An HTML file gets a generator tag that names the house agent. Text is not changed, and the receipt records that it was made by AI. Any C2PA reader can show a content credential.
Files from outside suppliers are not marked by Goloco. Those suppliers are responsible for marking their own AI-made content.
6. Your choices
You can type instead of talking to the voice agent. You can ask for a person at any time by writing to support@1849.ai. You can choose a supplier whose line says people do the work.
